“That’s how I’ll always be”

OK,  I have to preface this post with a confession.   I guess I could say that when it comes to music, I’m lacking “culture”.  Well, actually my tastes in music are closer to “hick” or “country”.   O.K. now that I’ve made a full disclosure (I feel so much better) we can move on-

I was driving home yesterday from the local farmer’s market and a song came on the radio that has always been one of my favorites.  I hope it helps you “become country” for just a few minutes:

I’ll always be a fan of ol’ stray dogs and guitars playin’

One room churches, back road walks and front porch swingin’

Sunset skies, bonfire nights, I love the simple things
That’s how I’ll always be

Rusty roofs that rattle when the rain is fallin’ down
Handshake deals fresh cut hay fields and hometowns

I’ll always be a fan of ol’ stray dogs and guitars playin’
One room churches, back road walks and front porch swingin’
Sunset skies, bonfire nights, I love the simple things
That’s how I’ll always be
That’s how I’ll always be
That’s how I’ll always be
That’s how I’ll always be
